By visiting the Unimerce Corporation website or using any related mobile applications, you are agreeing to the terms of this Privacy Policy. Any external links to other websites are clearly identifiable. Consequently, we are not responsible for the content or the privacy policies of these other websites.

Information Collected or Received

Unimerce requires a member to provide a valid email address and choose a username connected with your site activity. Depending on the services you choose, additional information may be collected. For example: billing or payment information, a telephone number, and a physical address may be requested based on your personal activity.

You may choose to provide your full name and other personal information, such as birthday, gender, or location, to be publicly displayed.

You may connect us with an external application, in which case we may receive some information from that other service.

We use cookies, clear gifs, log files, and flash cookies for several purposes, including helping understand how people interact with our site and services. We are dedicated to providing a hassle free experience.

Unimerce Corporation will not disclose your name, email address or other personal information to third parties without your explicit consent, except as specified in this policy.

As a Unimerce member you are required to provide a valid email address at registration and choose a username, alias, or business name that may represent your identity on Unimerce.

Depending on which services you choose, Unimerce may require additional information, such as a shop name, billing and payment information (including billing address, telephone number, credit card information), a telephone number, and/or a physical postal address. As a shop owner, if you choose to enable the direct checkout service ("direct checkout"), Unimerce may require information such as your social security number, identification ID or tax ID, date of birth, bank account information, credit card information and/or other proof of identification in order to verify your identity and provide this service to you. Credit card information on an account may be stored and used for both billing and payment purposes. Unimerce may contact individual shop owners to confidentially request more information about their shops or items listed on the site, to ensure compliance with our rules. Certain products or services on Unimerce may require you to complete an application; any information you submit through the application processes will not be displayed publicly and will only be used internally by Unimerce, unless otherwise specified.

You may optionally choose to provide your full name and other personal information (such as birthday, gender, location) to be publicly displayed in connection with your account and activity.

Your username and Unimerce ID or alias is publicly displayed and connected to your Unimerce activity. Other people have access to see the date on which you joined, reviews, ratings, profile information, items listed for sale, shop pages, sold item listings, and comments in community spaces.

Unimerce automatically receives and records some information from your browser or your mobile device when you visit the Site or use the Apps, such as your IP address or unique device identifier, cookies and data about which pages you visit on the Site or on the Apps. This information helps us analyze and understand how the Site and the Apps work for members and visitors, and provide a more personalized experience for members and visitors. Some members or visitors may connect to, or register a Unimerce account using an external third-party application, such as Facebook. Unimerce may receive some data from those connected third-party applications. Connecting your Unimerce account to third-party applications or services is optional, and when you connect your account to an external app, you will be given the opportunity to grant permission.

Unimerce may receive or collect information (for example: an email address) about a person who is not yet a registered member (a "non-member”) in connection with certain Unimerce features, including, but not limited to: a non-member subscribing to an Unimerce newsletter, a member inviting a non-member to visit the Site, a non-member engaging in a transaction, or a member sending a gift card code to a non-member.

Unimerce uses the information described in this policy to provide and improve our services and products, for billing and payments, for identification and authentication, for targeted online marketing, to contact members or interested parties, and for general research and aggregate reporting.

Unimerce Terms of Use require all account owners to be at least 18 years of age (or have the permission and supervision of a responsible parent or legal guardian). Therefore, this policy does not discuss use of our Site, our Apps, or services by minors.

Choice & Control

We understand that members of our community value having control over their own information, and therefore your account to an external, third-party application, such as Facebook are under your control.

If you no longer wish to use Unimerce services or receive service-related messages, then you are encouraged to close your account.

Messages from Unimerce

On occasion, Unimerce will contact you. Primarily, messages are delivered by email or by push notifications, and every account is required to keep a valid email address on file to receive messages. In some situations, Unimerce may contact you by telephone, SMS message, or physical mail, all in order to provide you with customer support or to provide you with information about products and features you may find of interest. You may update your contact preferences at your leisure in your account settings.

Unimerce offers optional email newsletters. When you register for an account, or choose to subscribe, you will receive newsletters from us. Newsletters are available to both members and non-members. Members may subscribe or unsubscribe from optional newsletters under your account settings or by following the instructions contained in the newsletter emails.


Unimerce is both a marketplace and a community. We may offer several features that allow members to connect and communicate in public or semi-public spaces, such as Forums, Teams and multimedia chat events. Please use common sense and good judgment when posting in these community spaces or sharing your personal information with others on Unimerce Be aware that any personal information you submit there can be read, collected, or used by others, or could be used to send you unsolicited messages. Another Unimerce member may follow your public activity on Unimerce to receive updates and or purchase from you or sell to you.

Information Sharing & Disclosure

We want to respect your privacy. In keeping with that principal, Unimerce will not disclose your name, email address or other personal information to third parties without your explicit consent, except as specified in this policy.

As part of the buying and selling process, Unimerce will facilitate the sharing of information between the two members involved in the transaction. As part of the buying or selling process, you may obtain another Unimerce member's email address, shipping address, payment information, and/or other information. As described in the Unimerce Terms of use you have a limited license to use this information only for Unimerce-related communications or for Unimerce-facilitated transactions. Unimerce has not granted you a license to use the information for unsolicited commercial messages or unauthorized transactions. Without express consent from that person, you must not add any Unimerce member to your email or physical mailing list or store or misuse any payment information.

Unimerce may release your personal information to a third-party in order to protect, establish, or exercise our legal rights or defend against legal claims; comply with a subpoena, court order, legal process, or other legal requirement; or when we believe, in good faith, that such disclosure is necessary to comply with the law, prevent imminent physical harm or financial loss, or investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, threats to our property, or violations of Unimerce terms of use . We may disclose personally identifiable information to parties in our sole discretion believe necessary or appropriate in connection with an investigation of fraud, intellectual property infringement, piracy, or other unlawful activity. In such events, Unimerce may disclose a name, address, country, phone number, email address and company name.

Unimerce is affiliated with a variety of businesses and works closely with them. These businesses may offer promotions or sell items or services to you.

Due to the nature of our business model, when an affiliated business is associated with your transaction, we may share information that is related to such transaction with that affiliated business. Unimerce may share aggregated demographic information with business partners.

In some cases, Unimerce may choose to buy or sell assets. In these types of transactions, (namely as a sale, merger, liquidation, receivership or transfer of all or substantially all of Unimerce's assets), member information is typically one of the business assets that is transferred. In the event that Unimerce transfers information about you, Unimerce will notify you by email or by putting a prominent notice on the Site or the App, and you will be afforded an opportunity to opt- out before information about you becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

Third-party plug-ins also may collect information about your use of the Site. For example, when you a load a page on Unimerce that has a social plug-in from a third-party site or service, such as a Like or Send button, you are also loading content from that third-party site. That site may request cookies directly from your browser. These interactions are subject to the privacy policy of the third-party site. In addition, certain cookies and other tracking mechanisms on our site are used by third parties for targeted online marketing and other purposes. These technologies allow a partner to recognize your computer or mobile device each time you visit Unimerce, but do not allow access to personally identifiable information from Unimerce. Unimerce does not have access or control over these third-party technologies, and they are not covered by our privacy policy.


The security of your personal information is important to us. Your Unimerce account information is protected by a password. It is important that you protect against unauthorized access of your account and information by choosing your password carefully, and keeping your password and computer secure by signing out after using our services. Unimerce follows generally accepted industry standards to protect the personal information submitted to us, both during transmission and once Unimerce receives it. Data Retention

Unimerce will retain your information, only for as long as is necessary, while your account is active or as needed to provide you services. If you no longer want Unimerce to use your information to provide you services, you may close your account. Unimerce will retain and use your information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

You may inform us of any changes or requests in regards to your personal data. In accordance with our obligations, under local data protection law, we may update or delete your personal data accordingly.

Unimerce reserves the right to modify this privacy policy at any time, so please review it periodically, thoroughly, and responsibly. We will communicate changes by posting a notice on the Site or the Apps. If we make material changes to this policy, prior to the change becoming effective, you will be notified here, by email, in the version notes on the Apps' platform, or other places Unimerce deems appropriate.
