Unimerce LLC Last updated:

For Consumer Customers

At Unimerce Marketplace, we provide multiple payment options for a smooth and secure checkout experience. You can choose the option that best suits your needs, with confidence that every transaction is protected.

Payment Methods

  • Credit Cards: All major credit cards are accepted, including Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover.
  • Bank Account Payments: Pay directly via your bank account through Stripe Connect.
  • PayPal: A globally trusted payment option, offering buyer protection and convenience.
  • Buy Now, Pay Later: Flexible installment payments available through Klarna and Afterpay.

Some methods may only be available in certain regions or currencies. During checkout, you’ll see the full list of options available to you.

Payment Security

We partner with leading providers such as Stripe and PayPal to process payments. All transactions are encrypted and meet industry standards (PCI-DSS compliance). Sensitive data is never stored on Unimerce servers.

Refunds & Chargebacks

Refunds are processed back to the original payment method whenever possible. Refund times may vary depending on the provider:

  • Credit card refunds typically appear within 5–10 business days.
  • PayPal refunds are usually instant once processed.
  • Installment providers (Klarna, Afterpay) may adjust or cancel future payments instead of refunding past ones.

In the case of chargebacks, Unimerce will provide documentation to the payment processor. Repeated chargebacks may result in account restrictions.

For Merchants

As a merchant on Unimerce Marketplace, you are paid out through Stripe Connect or PayPal depending on your account setup. Payment timelines and fees may vary based on your sales volume, risk profile, and history with Unimerce.

Transaction & Processing Fees

  • Unimerce Transaction Fee: A marketplace transaction fee is applied to each sale. This fee is deducted before payment processing fees. The rate is specified in your merchant agreement.
  • Payment Processing Fee: Stripe or PayPal charges a processing fee depending on the method used by the customer. These are applied after the transaction fee.

We disclose all fees upfront so merchants understand exactly how earnings are calculated.

Payouts & Holds

Merchant payouts are typically transferred on a rolling schedule (e.g., daily or weekly) depending on your account settings with Stripe or PayPal. To protect against risk, Unimerce may place temporary holds on funds in cases of disputes, high-risk transactions, or new seller accounts.

Fraud Prevention

We monitor transactions for fraud, suspicious activity, or policy violations. Fraudulent transactions may be canceled, and associated accounts may be suspended. Merchants are expected to comply with all applicable laws and our Terms of Service.

General

Unimerce LLC reserves the right to update this Payment Policy at any time. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy. If you have questions or need clarification, please contact our support team.
